Adam Lambert pays homage to his musical hero David Bowie

“He is the first and foremost Glam Rockstar. Rebel Rebel, Life On Mars, Lady Grinning Soul….,” Lambert posted in his initial tweet. “Bowie was one of the bravest artists of the century. A true Icon,” Lambert added, in a subsequent post.

Lambert’s moving tribute continued, “I love how Bowie challenged people’s perception of gender stereotypes and what an Outsider truly was. He was SO ahead of his time.”

In his tweet, the power-vocalist included a cover version of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” which he did with acclaimed guitarist Nile Rodgers, prior to expressing his condolences for the loss of Bowie. “RIP Bowie,” Lambert concluded.
