The actress has teamed up with Maytag to raise awareness for their “No Smear Campaign.” This year, the election buzz has been at an all-time high, and more than half of consumers are citing political smears as their biggest social media complaint. Maytag has come to rescue, with its launch of a Chrome plug-in, which will block all the negative content on Facebook and Twitter for those who opt in, and it will replace it with more humorous and lighthearted content. “Maytag approached me and asked if this was something I supported, and I was excited to team up with them for it. It is essentially a plug-in that you download from Maytag’s website that blocks negative political smears on your social media,” she said.
Regarding her upcoming plans, Elliott said, “I am getting married this weekend. I am very excited.”
Elliott is best known for being a cast member on Saturday Night Live for four seasons. Most impressive about Elliott is that she was the first second-generation cast member on the show, especially since she followed in the footsteps of her father, Chris Elliott, a fellow actor and comedian. “That felt amazing at the time. I was on it for four years, which was very cool. It was fun,” she said.
In addition, she co-stars in the first scripted half-hour comedy, Odd Mom Out, in the Bravo television network, which is in its second season. She was also in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with Megan Fox and comedian Will Arnett, as well as in No Strings Attached with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. “I really love my job. You can watch Odd Mom Out on iTunes and On Demand. I am super-happy doing that show. I love the entire cast and it’s a lot of fun. I love my family as well,” she said, prior to complimenting No Strings Attached for being “a lot of fun” and she described it as a “funny and sweet” film.
Elliott is listed Oscar-nominated actor Michael Fassbender as her dream male acting choice. “I would love to play opposite him in a romantic comedy or a drama,” she said.
