On her single “Future Ex-Boyfriend,” she said, “I did not write that song, but I fell in love with it. The attitude and the lyrics and everything about it, so I decided to cut it.”
She noted that her music video for “Future Ex-Boyfriend” was extremely fun to shoot.
Eight of her songs have been featured in television and film projects, which include Hello Herman and Cassidy Way. “That was super-exciting. It is a huge accomplishment whenever you see your own work in a movie and production. It is really humbling and gratifying,” she said.
In 2013, she claimed the title of “Country Artist of the Year” by the Indy Music Networks, and a year later, she won five awards at the Indie Music Channel Awards, which included “Best Female Country Artist,” “Best Female Teen Artist” and “Best Teen Artist Across All Genres.” “Those were awesome. It is so much fun going to award shows, since you are surrounded by other many other musicians that are so talented,” she said. “The Indie Music Channel award wins were really awesome.”
She listed the late “Man in Black” Johnny Cash as her dream male duet choice.
Aside from her music, she speaks French fluently and she has traveled to over 40 countries. “I have had a wonderful opportunity to travel and see so many different cultures. It is really wonderful,” she said.
