Youngest female founder to take a company public joins Glossier

Katrina Lake was the only woman to take a tech company public in 2017, and she’s the youngest female founder to ever take a company public. Her next move has been becoming the first independent director for Glossier.

Lake joins Glossier CEO and founder Emily Weiss, president Henry Davis and three additional VC investors.

Glossier is a beauty brand startup that was founded by Weiss, the company grew out of a beauty blog Into The Gloss that she began in 2010. Glossier, founded in 2014, has raised a total of $86.4 million in funding over four funding rounds. Their lead investors are Index Ventures, IVP, and Thrive Capital.
