Stacie Selise is one of the few Black women to rise through the ranks of the corporate world to a leadership position and is now a leadership consultant, speaker, and founder. Along her journey, she recognized a gap in how diverse leaders were developed, retained, and supported. Inspired to “create something bigger than myself,” Stacie built a platform to empower others and embarked on a mission to redefine leadership.

Defining success: From Fortune 20 executive to founder

Stacie grew up in New York City and started her career path as a retail customer service representative. In that position, she barely made enough money to survive and often had to work twice as hard as others to prove her worth in the workplace.

It was often challenging to be heard in spaces that weren’t “designed” for her voice.

“I faced both microaggressions and the burden of breaking barriers,” Stacie says.

Still, despite her challenges as a black woman in business, Stacie persevered. She often tells the story of her humble start as a retail worker to inspire others. Stacie attributes her resilience to her rise through the corporate ranks. Over time, she gained a reputation that opened doors to her, sometimes more quickly than expected. Stacie built teams that beat their performance targets by concentrating on a “people-first” culture. That culture remained even after she left the position.

“Every step matters, and where you start doesn’t determine where you finish,” Stacie tells aspiring leaders.

Due to her excelling in her previous roles, Stacie ascended to a senior executive position before age 35 at a Fortune 20 company. She led the top-performing sales teams on the East Coast and provided leadership in customer service and organizational culture.

After thirteen years, Stacie decided to take all her knowledge and experience and help others obtain their goals. She learned to build a platform that “empowers others to define success on their terms and lead with excellence.” Stacie became an executive coach and women’s empowerment speaker and started the Stacie Selise consulting brand.

Within a short period, she had booked high-profile clients.

The 4S framework by Stacie Selise

Others now recognize Stacie in the industry for her work shaping inclusive cultures and mentoring a new generation of leaders. She teaches the 4S Framework, which she developed for aspiring leaders. This methodology includes the four pillars of support, strive, standards, and success.

The 4S Framework starts with leaders providing support by building an inclusive environment that empowers their teams and gives them a voice. This allows leaders to strive to pursue excellence by embracing continuous growth. This establishes a standard that maintains high expectations while allowing for adaptability. Success is the result of achievable organizational goals and personal fulfillment.

Stacie plans to expand her brand by publishing a book, holding power sessions, speaking engagements, and more.

“I bring a rare combination of boardroom credibility, lived experience, and cultural relevance. I’ve led billion-dollar territories while staying deeply connected to community and culture. I don’t just talk leadership. I’ve lived it at the highest levels and now teach others how to lead with both power and authenticity,” Stacie concludes.
