Digital Journal ranks 13th in Canadian Startup Index of Top 100

Digital Journal Inc., a global digital media company headquartered in Toronto, has debuted on the TechVibes Top 100 Canadian Startup Index, securing the No. 13 spot out of 100 companies listed.

“TechVibes is well known for its coverage of the startup and entrepreneur space in Canada and Digital Journal Inc. is happy to be included in the Canadian Startup Index along with some very well known and successful businesses,” said Chris Hogg, CEO of Digital Journal Inc. “Our management team and network of content creators have built a really strong digital footprint around digitaljournal.com that we are very proud of. This recognition goes to the team.”

The TechVibes announcement comes on the heels of several major developments and milestones achieved by Digital Journal Inc.

Named one of the Top 20 most promising startups in Canada by The C100 in 2012, Digital Journal Inc. has also received widespread media coverage of the launch of its /newsrooms division to deliver social media content and coverage for brands outside of the digitaljournal.com network.

And most recently the company brought on media and marketing veteran Leslie Andrachuk who joins Digital Journal Inc. from Star Media Group to lead marketing solutions within Digital Journal Inc.’s digital publishing business.

“It’s exciting to be part of a Canadian media and technology company that is actually building a global business,” said Hogg. “All this exposure and momentum positions our business for strong growth, and opens up several new opportunities for our contributors.”
