Rosemary Macgregor is a Designer and Art Director with a global portfolio of high-profile clients, overcoming creative challenges in the realms of fashion, luxury, and beauty. Her story has led her to find a distinctive and authentic vision, something that drives the direction of her work. Passionate about art and design, Rosemary aims to create brand identities that set trends rather than follow them.
A sense of creativity and artistic passion
Growing up in Scotland, Rosemary has always had a deep connection with the natural beauty and tranquility of the Highlands. In her family home, she discovered a sense of creativity and artistic passion that has never gone away. Building off her creative spirit, Rosemary decided to attend the Glasgow School of Art, where she refined her artistic drive into a passion for design and art direction.
Finding a place in the design industry
Following this educational experience, Rosemary found herself in the midst of an oversaturated design and branding industry. There was constant competition to stay relevant, to stay distinct, and she had to find her way through. As she explains it, she overcame this struggle for relevance by cultivating a strong point of view that she could stay true to.
“Instead of chasing trends, I focus on creating timeless, authentic, and strategically driven brand identities,” Rosemary explained. “The most impactful brands don’t follow—they lead.”

Designing for prestigious brands
Since realizing this fundamental truth, Rosemary has worked with Harper’s Bazaar UK, GRAFF, Boden, Selfridges, and Town & Country UK. One of her most prominent rebrands was for the Paul Mitchell Pet brand, a prominent seller of pet grooming products.
As an art director, Rosemary is dedicated to solving visual communication challenges. She focuses on creating identities, designs, and layouts that effectively communicate a brand’s message, vision, and values in a way that resonates with the target audience.
Maintaining creative freedom
In her work as a Designer and Art Director, Rosemary maintains the creative freedom she needs to push boundaries, take risks, and create a final product that reflects her passion and the brand’s core values. Her success and passion for her craft have enabled her to work with only the clients she truly believes in, ensuring that they can rely on her to deliver meaningful results.
“Being my own boss allows me to shape my schedule, work with the clients I believe in, and maintain a balance between work and personal life,” Rosemary said.
While Rosemary has found success, she does not shy away from the mistakes that happen along the way. In fact, she has learned to treat every mistake as a lesson to be embraced. These small setbacks are just a part of the journey, something to be taken in stride.
Plans for the future
Moving forward, Rosemary envisions herself working with old and new clients, ever inspired by meaningful collaborations. She finds beauty in the playfulness of creativity, something which she instills in every project. If she ever needs fresh inspiration, she’s sure to find it in the beauty and tranquility of the Highlands. Rosemary aims to continue shaping brand identities and supporting clients with impactful designs.
