Prieeyya is an education futurist and expert in skills based learning. She founded Our Wave in 2018 to transform how people and organizations learn with a focus on digital skills training and creating hybrid learning environments that place context, community and connection at the centre of any learning experience. Through Our Wave, she has directly led upskilling efforts for over 1700+ learners in Canada with partners including the Government of Ontario, Royal Bank of Canada, the City of Brampton and Apple Canada. She advises edtech startups, large enterprises and different levels of government on skills based hiring, workforce transformation and delivers executive upskilling for leaders looking to navigate an AI enabled workforce. She is also an expert contributor to a pan Canadian dialogue on public education policy as well as regularly contributes to research on high impact micro-credentials for the digital economy at a national level. Prieeyya is a sought after speaker and is regularly asked to present her insights on the topics of skills based education, the future of work and how AI will evolve jobs and work. She has spoken at Harvard University, D2L's Toronto Skills Summit, RBC Future Launch Summit, University of Guelph's OpenEd Conference, York University, Toronto Metropolitan University, the Ontario Research and Innovation Network, and 60+ other events in North America. Prieeyya is a member of Digital Journal's Insight Forum.
