Ryan Beaver talks ‘Dark’ single and tour with Ashley Monroe (Includes interview)

It is the lead single from his upcoming studio album, Rx, which does not have a release date yet, but it should be available at some time in the new year.

Regarding his new single, “Dark,” he said, “It was a blast to do this song. We actually wrote it some time ago, and really took our time with it, and finally got it ready to get it out this year, so I am pretty excited that it is out.”

On October 27, he will be touring with country sensation Ashley Monroe, and he will be performing at Bowery Ballroom in New York City. “I am really looking forward to it since it’s my first time playing in New York. I get to play the Bowery and that is amazing,” he said. “I’ve played a tremendous amount in the Southwest over the years. As an independent artist, it becomes hard to travel long distances without knowing if you will have people at your shows. It’s going to be a treat to go and open for Ashley Monroe.”

He had nothing but the greatest remarks for headliner Ashley Monroe. “Ashley is such an artist. She is very kind and her band is great. I just love what she does musically, and that she sticks to her guns,” Beaver said. “She is a modern-day Dolly Parton meets Lee Ann Womack. To get to hang with her, and to sit down and write songs with her is really cool. I’ve been a fan of hers for many years.”
