Review: Mario Frangoulis amazing on ‘Tales of Christmas’ album (Includes first-hand account)

Frangoulis’ album opens with the upbeat and cheery “Jingle Bells” and it is followed by “All Creatures of Our God and King,” where he collaborates with such artists as George Perris, Julie Zorrilla, Jorge Calandrelli and The Little Musicians Choir.

It continues with “Nature Boy” and “Christmas Mornings,” prior to delivering a nostalgic and warm version of the classic “White Christmas.” Jorge Calandrelli joins Frangoulis for a duet on “Smile,” while “What Child Is This” is simply beautiful.

Frangoulis takes his fans on a trip down memory lane with the beloved holiday hit “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Carpe Diem” is a glorious collaboration with soprano Sarah Brightman.

As Digital Journal reported, “Ave Maria,” is exceptional, and it closes with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” which features Marilyn Horne.
