Review: Lady Gaga outstanding on national anthem at the Super Bowl

“Mother Monster” performed “The Star Spangled Banner” in Santa Clara, California, where she kicked off this year’s competition, which features the Carolina Panthers vs. the Denver Broncos. Her rendition was captivating and impressive, and it ought to be enjoyed for its simplicity. It is no wonder that Lady Gaga garnered a raucous response from the stadium’s crowd.

Lady Gaga was dressed in a patriotic fashion, with a red suit, blue nails and American flag shoes. She was joined by Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin, who did the sign language version of the national anthem.

Most recently, Gaga was a Golden Globe for performance in American Horror Story: Hotel. Next week, on February 15, she will paying homage to the late David Bowie by performing a tribute in honor at the upcoming 2016 Grammy Awards.
