“Ya’ll ready to have some fun?” Timmons asked, as he got the fans to wave their hands up in the air. He commenced his set with the upbeat “That Girl,” which had an infectious electronic dance vibe to it that was reminiscent of a Daft Punk track. “C’mon New York, show me some love,” he said, mid-way through the song.
“Let’s go New York. Get your hands up,” he exclaimed. “Are you ready to have fun?” he added, prior to encouraging them to get out of their seats.
“Any 98 Degrees fans?” he asked, and his question was met with a raucous response. He polled the crowd as to whether they wanted to hear a slow song or an uptempo one, where the former won. Timmons went on to sing the sultry ballad “Invisible Man,” which he performed with maximum soul and passion, as he maintained solid control over his velvet vocals. “All right Jamaica, do you guys remember this song?” he asked mid-way through the tune.
After performing a “slow song,” he went on to sing a somewhat “faster song,” the ever-popular “Because of You.” He went on to thank the familiar faces in the crowd, which allow him to indulge himself every night for doing what he loves to do. He encouraged everybody to sing along with him on “Because of You” and not be shy, as well as to simultaneously wave their hands up in the air.
“Are you having fun or no?” he asked, and the answer was a resounding “yes.” He shared the story behind “I Do (Cherish You),” which began in New York, especially when the group inked a record deal with Motown Records, and it subsequently became of their biggest hits. Timmons invited a female fan with purple hair on stage with him, as he serenaded the love ballad to her, which was a neat gesture.
Once again, he urged the fans to stand up for the last song of the night, which was the uptempo “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche).” “Help me out. This song is hard to sing since Nick [Lachey] sings the lead on this one,” he admitted to his fans, yet he sang it beautifully regardless as a soloist. He was backed by two female dancers for this closing tune.
“Thank you so much. Give it up for the dancers. Good to see familiar faces out there. Thank you for being here. God bless you guys,” Timmons concluded.

The Verdict
Overall, Jeff Timmons was superb at Resorts World Casino in New York. He showcased a great deal of personality and charisma, as he sang from the heart. He interacted well with the audience, and was singing the lyrics directly in the fans’ eyes, thus making a connection with his listeners. He is worth seeing live whenever he is in town, whether it is as a solo artist or with his acclaimed group, 98 Degrees. His show earned 5 out of 5 stars for a job well done.
