Dave Mason to perform at The Paramount for ‘Traffic Jam’ tour

This will be a part of his “Traffic Jam” tour. The last time he performed at The Paramount was on January 10, 2014, for a well-received show.

He is a living rock legend. At age of 18, the England native had teamed up with such artists as Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood, and they formed the iconic rock group Traffic, which was able to reshape modern rock and roll into what it is today. He had written the song “Feelin’ Alright,” which subsequently became a global rock hit and has been covered by numerous artists.

Following his extensive touring with Traffic in Europe, he pursued a solo music career in the United States, where he went gold with his breakthrough album Alone Together, which was comprised of such hits as “Only You Know and I Know,” “Shouldn’t Have Took More Than You Gave” and “Word In Changes.”

His distinct guitar work may be heard on albums by such artists as The Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Jimi Hendrix. His work and career remain linked with other living rock legends such as Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac and Graham Nash.

In 2004, Mason achieved rock music’s highest honor with an induction into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his work Traffic. He is avidly involved with charity-work with the program he co-founded, Work Vessels for Veterans (WVFV), an all-volunteer movement that provides veterans with the tools they need to transition to civilian work. He is also an official supporter of Little Kids Rock, which provides free musical instruments and lessons to children in public schools throughout America.
