Smith is up for her second consecutive International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) award for “Female Vocalist of the Year.” “I’m so honored and very excited to learn that I’m nominated in the IBMA Female vocalist category. It’s truly a dream come true,” Smith said, who is nominated along with such veteran songstresses as Rhonda Vincent, Dale Ann Bradley and Claire Lynch, as well as first-time nominee Becky Buller.
Regarding her plans for the future, Amanda said, “We are looking forward to recording a new CD this winter. Look for a 2016 spring release.”
Her husband, Kenny Smith, is up for the IBMA award for “Guitar Player of the Year.” “We are so grateful that we are up for these awards. It means so much to us,” Kenny said.
