Science & space,
I am an Editor-at-Large for Digital Journal with a Top Content Producer award.
I specialize in science, health, technology, and occasionally write about political issues, as well as any newsworthy stories of general, human interest.
During my professional life, I have worked in a number of different fields, all of which have involved various aspects of communication. This includes writing and editing, publication of documents and journals, public speaking, campaigning, and management training and coaching.
Most of this has been carried out at an international level, and has necessitated strong skills in cross-cultural communication.
I have worked in a total of 24 European countries, as well as in the US, Canada and Iceland. I speak English, French and German, and have some knowledge of Dutch.
I am passionate about science and fascinated by cosmological discoveries, technological advances and medical breakthroughs.
Science – once the preserve of a small, privileged elite – is now followed by millions of ordinary people across the globe.
This represents a great leap forward in culture and education, which I like to refer to as the "democratization of knowledge.”
I believe journalists have a central role to play in this “revolution,” by informing people about advances in science and technology in a language which is understandable, entertaining and informative.
