There has been much talk about the Saddleback Church forum that Barack Obama and John McCain participated in which John McCain did much better than Barack Obama did in that type of forum. The new delusion is that McCain somehow cheated.

A web columnist implies actor Jon Voight should be blacklisted for his Obama comments. DNC delegates are stripped for not toeing the Party Line. And a KOS diarist wishes Novak-like brain tumors on Republicans. There's more. This is the party of tolerance?

On Friday Republicans stayed on the floor of the House of Representatives demanding debate on gas prices and discussing Nancy Pelosi's refusal to allow a vote on drilling. Monday, Republicans are back on the floor while Democrats are on a 5 week vacation.

Is there a subliminal message in the new John McCain ad titled, "The Obama Iraq Documentary: Whatever the Politics Demand"? That is the question being asked by some.

Barack Obama said, "I'm going to call in the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and give them a new mission, and that is to bring the war in Iraq to a close." The problem is that the Joint Chief of Staff does not have operational command of the U.S. Military.

Hillary Clinton's tactics against Barack Obama were despicable, but it would not have occurred to me that she would sabotage him in the general election, until I watched James Carville's interview about the New Yorker cover on CNN.

The New York Times reports that a coalition of military groups are planning a nationally televised event, which CBS has agreed to broadcast, for both presidential candidates. John McCain accepted but the planners cannot get Barack Obama to commit.

Barack Obama just might need the help of Tom Cruises "Ethan Hunt" character to pull of one of his biggest campaign promises. Some things sound great when discussed, but the actuality of the situation may not always make things come off like promised.

Living in a land free of terror in a world of terror rife with abhorrence, death and tyranny is truly an endowment to be respected and nurtured with delicate forethought and alertness, to counter uncertainty’s incessant strain on American foreign policy

Forget the McCain-Obama Iraq contretemps. Take a look at some of what is going on at Barack Obama's website. You can find 9/11 Truthers, Marxists and even terrorist sympathizers operating radical blogs with impunity. Unfortunately, nothing new there.

The recent news that Washington D.C. is planning on putting checkpoints in various violent areas brings up questions of how close the United States is to becoming a nation under martial law.
What is your personal breaking point?

So either McCain goes or Susan Sarandon does? McCain 2008! This football game goes my way or I'm taking my ball and leaving scenario played out in both 2000 and 2004, with many promising to leave the US if Bush was elected. So why are they still here?

I began my earlier years as an anti-establishment type until my brother was KIA in SE Asia, Spring '68 in Quan Tri Province. I woke up.
From '68 to '73, I managed to turn my world right side up and joined Law Enforcement straight out of High School and worked my way into the DEA and then on to an Anti-Terrorist Tag Team where we were well versed in Islamic Jihad and were given a full understanding that not all Muslims were Jihadists...per se.
I began serving my country full time in 1976, serving under every United States President since President Carter and the current President as of 2007. That is a long time.
I have been to every "Stan" country there is to be in both safely and not so safely. I was a Body Language "student" and my primary mission was to not speak but observe movements...others did the talking. The eyes have a Universal Language and verbiage is not a requirement to understand and know that which one is projecting either honestly or otherwise.
I was in Tajikistan on 91101, the second day in American History that will live in Infamy. While the nation and the world was still swimming in shock, sadness, despair and anger, we in Tajikistan got word that we were at war with al-Qaeda. We were the first to mobilize...we laughed a scornful and mission-ready sneer.
We could smell the enemy and the enemy was just 2 clicks away.
The Mission at hand changed and we were at war. The chill one gets when thousands of miles from home and the only way out was a 40 mile trek through Indian Country to the Afghani Northern Alliance is a chill one will never shake off.
I am retired now, and our eldest son is fighting in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Company B.
I spend my days now investigating and researching politics and politicians. It is good to know who the enemies within are and what they are up to.
