I began my earlier years as an anti-establishment type until my brother was KIA in SE Asia, Spring '68 in Quan Tri Province. I woke up.

From '68 to '73, I managed to turn my world right side up and joined Law Enforcement straight out of High School and worked my way into the DEA and then on to an Anti-Terrorist Tag Team where we were well versed in Islamic Jihad and were given a full understanding that not all Muslims were Jihadists...per se.

I began serving my country full time in 1976, serving under every United States President since President Carter and the current President as of 2007. That is a long time.

I have been to every "Stan" country there is to be in both safely and not so safely. I was a Body Language "student" and my primary mission was to not speak but observe movements...others did the talking. The eyes have a Universal Language and verbiage is not a requirement to understand and know that which one is projecting either honestly or otherwise.

I was in Tajikistan on 91101, the second day in American History that will live in Infamy. While the nation and the world was still swimming in shock, sadness, despair and anger, we in Tajikistan got word that we were at war with al-Qaeda. We were the first to mobilize...we laughed a scornful and mission-ready sneer.

We could smell the enemy and the enemy was just 2 clicks away.

The Mission at hand changed and we were at war. The chill one gets when thousands of miles from home and the only way out was a 40 mile trek through Indian Country to the Afghani Northern Alliance is a chill one will never shake off.

I am retired now, and our eldest son is fighting in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Company B.

I spend my days now investigating and researching politics and politicians. It is good to know who the enemies within are and what they are up to.
