Larry Clifton

A few years ago after a modestly successful career in the building industry that spanned three decades I returned to my first passion of writing and journalism. My wife and I are empty nesters and have split the last few years between living in our north Georgia Applachian mountain home and our Florida home located north of the Tampa Bay area. We ultimately sold the Georgia home and now reside on the Nature Coast in my native Florida. I am a Vietnam veteran and earned my much belated BA from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg. I enjoy motorcycles, boats and spending time with family and friends. I have been a staff writer at a central Florida countywide newspaper for two years and have been published as a freelance reporter and columnist in more than ten major newspapers and a few weekly papers over the last ten years. Digital Journal attracted me because it has a global cast of writers and I enjoy learning about the many countries and places I have not visited.
