Bell Canada Purposely Slowing Down Net Traffic For All File-Sharing and Torrents

Internet service provider Bell Canada has admitted to throttling traffic and slowing data transfers for its third-party ISPs, DigitalJournal.com has learned. Some customers are facing Net speed slowed down from 500 to 30 kilobytes per second.

'Tibet, Tibet' Bjork hits the Great Wall of Chinese censorship

Iceland’s leading garden gnome, all five foot of her, has taken on the issue of Tibet… in Shanghai. The Chinese aren’t pleased. Her song “Declare Independence” at one of her concerts instantly produced a strong, very negative, reaction.

According to a new poll, more than two-thirds of the U.S. believe traditional journalism is out of touch with what Americans want from their news. The survey also showed more people are turning to the Web to get their daily news fix.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is targeting an Arizona man for ripping music onto his PC from CDs he bought legally. The RIAA says it's illegal for someone to copy music to their PC, even if the CDs were legally bought.
