Seven more mastectomy errors have surfaced at Hotel-Dieu Grace and more may come to light after a finding that a pathology lab was also making errors. Several more hospitals now checking their records in a major medical scandal.

Star Trek star Walter Koenig is desperately looking for help in finding his 41-year-old son Andrew Koenig who is missing in Vancouver. Walter Koenig played Chekov on Star Trek. Andrew, known for his role in Growing Pains, disappeared Feb 14.

Vijay Singh, 29, of Burnaby, B.C. was arrested and taken to Oshawa to face two charges of first degree murder in the deaths of two men found stuffed in the trunk of a car parked in Pickering last May.

An RCMP Staff-Sgt. seconded to the Integrated Security Unit guarding the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver has been charged with theft and sent back to Ottawa. Six other officers and four soldiers also sent home over discipline issues.

A man with an apparent grudge against the IRS wrote on a website saying "Mr. Big Brother IRS - take my pound of flesh" before he smashed a plane into a building in Austin, Texas. Thirteen people are injured, two seriously. One person is missing.

No cancer but breast removed in Windsor hospital horror

A surgeon at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital misread a pathology report and removed a woman's breast although she did not have cancer. The hospital was not told about the error by Dr. Barbara Heartwell. Now, the hospital is scrambling to appease the patient.

Jury convicts client in murder of California fortune teller

The district attorney in Orange County, California says he'll be seeking the death penalty for a woman who was convicted of killing a fortune teller and her daughter. The killer was a client who killed the fortune teller to steal her expensive jewelry.

Cluster bombs have killed more than 10,000 civilians, according to the United Nations. A treaty imposing a ban on the use of these civilian killing bombs comes into effect on Aug. 1 after the 30th country ratified the agreement.

Calgary toddler left alone in car while man went into casino

A little girl was left alone in a car for at least 20 minutes while a man went into a Calgary casino. Firemen were about to break into the car to rescue the toddler when the man returned. The toddler has been taken into care by social workers.

A man cops claim is a self-proclaimed anarchist leader has been arrested by police as they move to round up several people who rampaged through downtown Vancouver twice during Olympic demos. Cops say the man urged followers to vandalize property.

Avalanche: 100 tons of snow slides down, kills Alberta man Special

The avalanche risk was listed as considerable when a party of eight bob sledding enthusiasts set out for fun. It ended with one of them buried by a 100-ton avalanche near Eagle Mountain which is located around Revelstoke, B.C. The man died.

A young mom who told no one she was pregnant now faces charges of infanticide after her baby boy's body was found in a landfill following three days of searching by 35 cops. The mom, 20, apparently did not even tell her boyfriend, cops said.
