My love affair with writing started when I won a dare.
My dad, a proficient wordsmith, issued a challenge to test the coherence of my writing. A bit miffed, I rose to the challenge and wrote my first short story then and there. Of course, it was filled with puppies and video games, but what do you expect from a nine-year-old? What matters is that I picked up my pen and started sharpening my weapon of choice.
I've been entangled with writing ever since. I write when I'm upset, angry, or extremely happy. I write when the mood strikes and when the muse abandons me. I write, consistently, endlessly.
Few people are fortunate enough to pursue careers by doing what they love. I've always been thankful that I am lucky enough to be able to earn a living by wielding my pen.
Which brings me here. I'm Mae, a bibliophile who travels the world in search of the secret to humanity. I love living life on the fast lane by engaging in physically demanding sports, such as airsoft and soccer. I'm not a bad marksman, but I hate cold water. When the muse makes her absence felt, I build a nest on my bed with my iPod plugged in as I pursue novel after novel.
