I'm a 66-year-old grandmother whose life is up and down all the time. I joined DJ when it was a baby, wrote lots, got into hot spots and wandered off to other pursuits, primarily buying, collecting and selling vintage jewelry. Today I'm too busy for my own good but better busy than bored I say. I love to write, have several blogs and run a dozen websites. Then in 2009, something changed all my retirement plans: I became an almost full-time mom to my young grand-daughter, an event that has severely curtailed my activities. It's been a frustrating, tiring and trying year with no end in sight. But in other ways, it's helped me fulfill lifetime goals. My new mantra is "life is what happens when you're making other plans".
