U.S. dispatches new ambassador to the Philippines

The U.S. has dispatched Philip Goldberg as the new ambassador to the Philippines after the senate fast-tracked his confirmation so that he could coordinate U.S. assistance and aid to the victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan in central Philippines.
