Jeju - Today scientists published a list of the world's 100 most endangered species. The list, the first of its kind, was published by the World Conservation Congress in South Korea.

Moscow - A new bill passed by the Russian parliament requires NGOs(Non-government Organizations) that receive foreign funding to be registered as foreign agents. Human rights groups have been critical of the legislation.

Some NGOs genuinely contribute to enhancing welfare, to the mitigation of hunger, the furtherance of human and civil rights, or the curbing of disease. Others are ideologically biased, religiously-committed and, often, at the service of special interests.
