New Zealand to ban plastic microbeads by July 2018

New Zealand plans to ban cosmetic products containing tiny plastic particles known as microbeads from July next year because of the risk they pose to aquatic and marine environments.

London - The British government has announced a ban on the use of microbeads in cosmetics and other personal care products. Microbeads are spheres of plastic added to help different products to 'clean.'

Washington - Several states have passed legislation to put and end to the use of tiny microbeads in beauty products, but now the rest of the nation is catching up. It's all part of an effort to keep the tiny plastic beads out of the ocean and our seafood.
