With the news that it is 12/21/12 and no signs of the Apocalypse, we may heave a sigh of relief and indulge in some lighthearted celebration of yet another failed doomsday prophecy. Celebration? For the 1%, yes, obviously; but for the 99%?
It's important not to be caught out when the world ends in apocalyptic catastrophe on December 21. Too often doomsday fanatics end up penniless when the sun rises on another day, leaving their prophetic illusions shattered and their bank balance empty.
