Video ads are becoming a hot favourite with online viewers as viewing figures soar. Eleven billion ads were viewed in June over the web, accounting for 33 percent of all videos streamed. Google, Yahoo and Facebook lead the way.
The Internet Advertising Revenue report shows an increase of 22 percent in advertising since 2010 in revenue on the Internet. Revenue of $26 billion was reported in 2010, this figure has leaped to $31 billion.
New figures released Wednesday by the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada (IAB) show that Canadian Online Advertising Revenues for 2010 grew by 23 percent to $2.23 billion. These numbers exceed print advertising and are a close second to TV ads.
