May 12 saw the Spanish "Indignados" take to the streets "en masse" to mark the second anniversary of the 15m movement, which was born on May 15, 2011. The new theme of the protest is "From indignation to rebellion."
Stéphane Hessel, the former French resistance fighter, diplomat and political activist, often regarded as the inspiration for the Indignados movement, the Occupy movement and the Arab Spring, died in Paris on Tuesday at the age of 95.
2011 was a year or protest, from Egypt and the Arab Spring, to Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, the U.S.A. and many more countries, the people got out there in the streets to try and take back their basic rights.
