The Pacific Ocean is continuing to be damaged beyond repair by the constant flow of over 400 tons of radioactive groundwater every day from the ill-fated Fukushima power plant. Now the world discovers one-third of workers have fake contracts.
The Tokyo Electric Energy Corporation (TEPCO) announced today their failure to create an ice wall in a part of the underground tunnel connecting to a damaged reactor at Fukushima No. 1 power plant. This has not stopped TEPCO from pursuing an alternative.
It has been more than three years since the March 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant disaster, and the facility is still plagued with massive amounts of contaminated water. Repeated leaks and other mishaps have delayed decommissioning the plant.
