With record levels of both public and private debt and stagnant household incomes, Canadians are having a difficult time saving, including for any emergencies. A new poll suggests nearly half of the country doesn't have an emergency savings fund.
New research published today by Bankrate has found almost half of Americans do not have emergency savings to cover three months' worth of expenses. This is three percent higher than last year's figures.
A total of 64 percent of Americans lack the means to pay for a $1,000 emergency, a new survey by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) reports.
