Walmart Inc, the nation's largest retailer, announced on Wednesday it was raising the minimum age for the purchase of firearms and ammunition to 21 from 18. Walmart stopped selling assault-style firearms and accessories in 2015.
Dick's Sporting Goods has jumped directly into the fray after announcing Wednesday morning the company will no longer sell assault-style rifles and will ban the sale of guns to people under the age of 21 in its stores and online.
