Washington - This week Washington's cherry blossoms reached peak views. The peak had been delayed several times this year due to cold snaps in the weather. Yesterday was perfect cherry blossom viewing weather.

Washington - On Saturday a large crowd came out to enjoy the weather and the National Cherry Blossom Festival that is going on down on the National Mall in D.C. Saturday the annual Kite Festival took place.

Washington - The blossoms have yet to open, but the annual Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. has begun. The popular springtime event began on March 20 and will run through April 14.

Washington - This winter has seen some unusual weather in the Washington area, and during February some of the earlier spring bloomers have already begun to awaken. This is primarily due to the milder temperatures many days in the region have seen over the past month.

The Japanese cherry trees of Toronto's High Park are currently in full bloom, a display you will not want to miss and should take advantage of while it's at its most beautiful.

Washington - Each year Washington commemorates March 27, 1912, when the mayor of Tokyo, Yukio Ozaki, donated over 3,000 cherry trees to the city of Washington, DC, and the people of the United States.

Last week, the Japanese cherry blossoms were in full bloom in High Park. This week, however, it is all over and done with.

Sunday was a beautiful day in Toronto: sunny, no wind, pleasant temperatures, and the Japanese cherry blossoms were at their most beautiful. It's an event that is not to be missed.
