Talk about a “TV timeout.” A cable that is part of an overhead camera system fell across the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, injuring 10 fans, damaging several cars and delaying the NASCAR race for over half an hour.
There is little doubt that Jimmie Johnson is an elite NASCAR driver. If there was, Johnson proved he deserves to be among the best when he became the first four-time winner of the Sprint Cup All-Star Race on Saturday night at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Clint Bowyer had little to complain about after winning the fifth race in the “Chase for the Sprint Cup.” He moved up in the NASCAR standings and won his first-ever race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, a track where he’s been less than fortunate.
