B.C. man pleads guilty to beating dog, putting it in dumpster

Vancouver - The 26-year-old was charged with one count of animal cruelty after beating a two-year-old German Shepherd and leaving the dog in a Vancouver dumpster. "Captain" later died.

The SPCA in B.C. is finding that being cute and cuddly isn't helping many kittens and cats find homes. There are overloaded with felines and in an effort to find families to adopt them they have cut the price of doing so by half.
