It's Time For The Crosswalk Scramble Toronto

Toronto is using a busy downtown street as an experiment in street crossing. Yonge and Dundas now has a traffic light that stops all traffic so pedestrians can cross the street in any direction they need to.

President Obama nominates the Korean-born US academic Jim Yong Kim to be the next president of the World Bank.

An Oakville woman survived and has been released from hospital after her car was crushed Monday afternoon when a tractor-trailer rolled over on Highway 403 at Dundas Street in Mississauga.

The World Bank is poised to announce its next president, with the US nominee, Jim Yong Kim the favourite of the two candidates.

Canada gets a close-up look at Reid Coolsaet this coming weekend at the Toronto Yonge Street 10 km, which is expected to attract a field of 7,500 runners less than 100 days out from the Olympics.


Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were in Toronto for a full day of royal activities, including stops today at the Ontario legislature, Fort York and Ryerson University, a meeting with aboriginal leaders and a tour of the Yonge Street Mission.
