President Obama, Governor Romney and their backers may be spending hundreds of millions of dollars to live in the most expensive and exclusive house in the nation, but they aren't saying enough about the fact that housing in America is broken. Despite what the media and candidates might have you believe, real estate, home ownership and mortgages are the most important issues of the coming presidential election. No one, however, is really talking about how it broke, who is responsible or what should be done with them. Worst of all, they're not talking about how to fix it. Really fix it.

The Syrian army's month-long siege of the city of Homs has ended, according to residents reached by ABC News by telephone. Rebels fighting President Bashar al Assad's forces say they have pulled out of the rebel stronghold of Bab Amr, and a government official says the Syrian army now has control in the area. However there's growing concern about the humanitarian situation in Homs, the country's third largest, as well as fears of reprisals by government troops. The rebel group known as the Free Syrian Army announced what it described as a tactical retreat in a statement released today. "We have decided to strategically withdraw for the sake of the civilians remaining inside the neighborhood. The humanitarian situation is at its worst, as there is no food whatsoever, no medicines, no water and no electricity."
