Traces of radioactive tritium have been found in groundwater near the Pilgrim Nuclear Power plant. The levels are still within federal safety limits, and a spokesman says there is no threat to the public.

Less than a week after Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station officials announced that a leak of radioactive tritium had been found and plugged, unusually high amounts of cesium-137 have been detected in the soil around the plant.
