Ottawa - A coalition consisting of 60 organizations representing Canadian ocean fisheries conservation, environmental and social justice groups are demanding the government of Canada be more open about the transgenic salmon called AquaAdvantage.

The controversial fast-growing transgenic Atlantic salmon produced by AquaBounty Technologies has been included in a list of the 50 best inventions of 2010 in the on-line version of Time Magazine.
