CN is being blamed for a 2009 train derailment in Illinois, in which several cars went off the tracks and caught fire, killing one person and injuring seven others.

Some of the world's top bobsledders, lugers and skeleton racers are in Sochi this week testing out the new sliding track for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Safety has been a major concern throughout the construction of the track, especially after the death of Georgian luge athlete Nodar Kumaritashvili in a training run at the facility used for sliding at the 2010 Vancouver Games.
