The Van Gogh Museum unveiled on Thursday an early painting of a dead willow by Vincent van Gogh, the first addition to its world-famous collection in five years.

A still life once thought to be by Van Gogh but later dismissed as an anonymous work is confirmed as an authentic painting by the Dutch master.

The National Gallery of Canada's Vincent Van Gogh exhibit features 47 paintings pulled together from around the world that explore the Dutch artist's fascination with nature.


Following the blockbuster sale of her jewelry and memorabilia in December, Elizabeth Taylor's personal art collection is now set to cross the auction block.

Paintings by van Gogh, Rembrant, Cezanne, and Dali pepper the list of the most valuable works of art stolen by intrepid thieves and never recovered.
