Tampa bay Headlines

The modestly upgraded Montreal Canadiens will try to salvage a victory on their three-game road trip when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.

While the Tampa Bay Lightning were handed a couple of one-sided defeats at the hands of the Toronto Maple Leafs earlier this season, another one seems unlikely.

Tampa Bay has gone 14-5-2 in its last 21 games to get back into the NHL's Eastern Conference playoff race, and will attempt to avoid a season sweep at the hands of Ottawa on Tuesday night.

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vincent Lecavalier will be sidelined indefinitely because of a broken right hand.

With undefeated Jeremy Hellickson back on the mound Monday night for the opener of a three-game series with the visiting Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay seemingly has a good opportunity to get back on track.
