Syrian Air Force warplanes have unleashed munitions on districts in Damascus where rebel forces are present. This comes amidst continued shelling of other irregular forces in Homs, Aleppo and Deir Ezzor.

Six generals and twenty-two colonels were among the over seventy Syrian military officers who have deserted their posts in the last 36 hours and entered Turkey constituting the biggest such defection from the Syrian Army in months.
