29 more Canadians have died from Swine Flu, with Quebec reporting 13 of them. Total deaths reach 279. Government reports 5,438 severe case hospitalizations so far. 417 on life support. Week ending Nov. 14 was severe with 1,674 hospitalizations, 84 deaths.

A deadly Swine Flu surge in Ontario has killed 24 people in a 72-hour period, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada. Up until Nov. 10, Ontario's death toll stood at 37. The new total of deaths in Ontario is now 61, the highest in Canada.

In the largest increase since April, 202 British Columbians have been admitted to hospital with eight dying from Swine Flu. Nationally, Canada's death toll moved up by 22 in just five days to move the national total to 135 dead.

Swine Flu is rampaging through Ontario, B.C. and Alberta and more Canadians have died in two days than any other period. Ottawa reports 14 Canadians have died in two days. Seven deaths are in Ontario, 3 in B.C., 3 in Alberta.

Ukraine Health Minister Vasyl Knyazevich has given his country's parliament an account of a massive wave of swine flu that has sickened 255,000. He says 66 adults, 3 children and 2 pregnant women are dead. WHO says 1,100 kids are hospitalized.

Pregnant women form one per cent of the Canadian population, yet they comprise 5 per cent of all hospitalizations from Swine Flu and 4 per cent of deaths. Government says women bearing brunt of Swine Flu illness and deaths.

B.C. has been hit by a wave of Swine Flu hospitalizations with 33 admissions in one week, the highest since the start of the pandemic. Six people are in intensive care. B.C. confirms a ninth fatality. Children's Hospital seeing 50 to 60 kids per day.
