Denver - A large snowy storm system has been moving itself across the U.S. From Denver and points west to the east coast, wintry weather has been wreaking havoc this past weekend continuing into Monday.

Fairfax - Snow has been mostly non-existent for the 2012-13 winter season in the DC region. However, the storm that blew in on March 6 ended up shutting down the District and the surrounding suburbs.

Toronto - The city of Vaughan has apologized and temporarily suspended its Twitter account after a profane rant on Friday's huge snowstorm appeared on its profile. Vaughan officials have asked Twitter to find out what happened.

Toronto - Texas and Alberta have many things in common. Both regions produce oil, raise cattle and for the most part are very conservative. It would appear though that when two weather systems, a Texas low and an Alberta clipper meet, there is a major clash.

A potentially historic snow storm is expected to hit the northeastern U.S. and Canada on Friday. In anticipation of this major storm, thousands of flights have been cancelled by airlines.

Innsbruck - Many areas across Austria are under 1.2 metres (4ft) of snow since Thursday causing chaos on roads and railways in several areas of the central European nation.

Nome - An Alaska man who recently found himself stranded in a remote area outside of Nome, managed to survive the sixty-hour ordeal by eating a few cans of frozen Coors Light beer he found in his truck.

A snowstorm, which was the first of the season for some parts of Nova Scotia, made driving conditions dangerous and closed schools across the Canadian province.

A Nor'easter is moving up the east coast bringing with it record snowfall from West Virginia through the New England states. The region from New York to Boston is expected to receive up to a foot of snow by Sunday morning.

Cranford - An unusually early snow storm struck parts of northern New Jersey on Saturday, two days before Halloween, and weather forecasters are expecting as much as 10 inches in some areas of the state.
