Matt Stajan scored in overtime and Jarome Iginla joined elite company with another 30-goal season as the Calgary Flames beat the San Jose Sharks 3-2 Tuesday in a pivotal Western Conference encounter with the San Jose Sharks.


Ten points separated the Calgary Flames from the San Jose Sharks at the beginning of February, though Calgary's recent surge has coincided with San Jose's swoon to close the gap.


The Tampa Bay Lightning and the San Jose Sharks deal a little dealing before their contest Thursday night, with well-travelled Dominic Moore heading to the Northern California club.


The Edmonton Oilers travel Monday to Los Angeles to take on the hometown Kings, who will try not to look past them to a critical home-and-home series with the San Jose Sharks.


Patrick Marleau scored twice Thursday as the San Jose Sharks edged Toronto 2-1, sending the stumbling Leafs to their seventh loss in eight games. It was San Jose's first win in five games.
