A wave of pharmacy robberies may be partly fueled by inside jobs.

A suspect in a string of drug store robberies was tackled by a member of the public after a pharmacy was held up in Okotoks.


One of the suspects alleged to have assaulted a woman in a wheelchair and stolen her iPad at a SkyTrain station last week has been charged with one count of robbery.


Mexican police have confirmed that a 67-year-old man from B.C.'s Salt Spring Island was shot and killed during a robbery at a home in a town popular among Canadian snowbirds.
