White penguins are rare, and spotting a leucistic Chinstrap penguin is a once-in-a-lifetime event. The nearly-white penguin chick was photographed Monday by David Stephens, a naturalist on the National Geographic Journey to Antarctica expedition.

Rare giant oarfish found in Sweden

Stockholm - The rarely seen giant oarfish has washed ashore in Sweden. The 12-foot fish known as the King of Herrings was found dead over the weekend and was given to Havat Hus, The Aquarium of the Sea in Lysekil for research.
