Family Radio minister Harold Camping, the individual who incorrectly predicted the world would begin its total destruction on May 21, 2011, has suffered a stroke after a radio broadcast. He was immediately taken to a local hospital.

It has been a few days since the talk of the world ending. All that doomsday stuff just didn't happen. If you have been around a few years, you've not doubt heard it before.

The 89-year-old head of Family Radio network in Oakland, Harold Camping, who predicted May 21 as the day the world will end, is now singing a different tune. He is now saying that judgment day was a spiritual event and that it is not detectable for us.

South African followers of Harold Camping, the pastor who predicted that the world would end on the 21st May 2011, were found hard pressed to settle their sizeable hotel bill after the world failed to end last week.

The Rapture didn't come as followers of Harold Camping waited in disappointment. The Oakland radio minister had promised that today would be the end of the world but just like his first prediction the world still spins.

In response to the end-of-the-world certainty espoused by Christian minister Harold Camping, atheists nationwide are planning 'rapture parties' this coming weekend to celebrate their ongoing existence.
