The federal Transportation Safety Board says Canadians have reason to fear rail security given the troubling similarities between the recent fatal train accident in Burlington, Ont., and a derailment two years ago in Quebec.

Bloomberg is reporting that Ottawa may sell part of Via Rail as it tries to cut spending and eliminate the deficit.
