Pregnant women with a history of depression and depressive symptoms who use psychiatric medication may be three times more likely to deliver prematurely, according to the Michigan-based Pregnancy Outcomes and Community Health Study.

A fetus's gender should not be revealed until after 30 weeks of pregnancy, says an editorial published in the Canadian Medical Journal.

Pittsburgh police have released the identity of the suspected gunman in a shooting that left two people dead, including their suspect, and injured seven others in the psychiatric clinic of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. John Shick, 30, of Pittsburgh, was identified as the shooter by Police Cmdr. Thomas Stangrecki Friday, according to ABC affiliate WTAE, but police have yet to determine a motive in the case. They do not know if Shick had a history of criminal or mental health problems.

The American Psychiatric Association is considering a report that would narrow the mental health definition of autism and potentially exclude up to three-quarters of current cases.
